Barrel romance 2-seater bench

Romantic 2-seater bench from our Barrel collection. Because it is made from old wooden barrels, the table has a unique lived-in vintage look. This bench looks great in a rural interior. Barrel Collection Whiskey barrels are made of sawn American white oak. This wood is very strong and hard, and also very rot resistant. The pieces that make up the barrels are called staves and are available in different sizes. There are usually about 30-34 staves that make up a barrel. The top and bottom of the barrel are called barrel heads. Here you often see the markings of the cooperage or distillery. Before the heads go into place, the barrel goes through a combustion process where the inside is charred completely black. This burnt oak gives whisky its great taste, aromas and color. After the carbonization process completed, the coopers insert the barrel heads into place and hammer away the steel tires. (Hoops or rings, whatever name you choose.) It most of this work is done by machines today, but it process is still the same. Features The inside of the barrels is charred, so the furniture will be black on one side. The outside of the barrel wood has darker colors and colors that range from brown, green and black. Our furniture The staves are cleaned, rounded and sanded without too much patina (shine) to delete. You may also notice some cracks, splits, and chips in the wood as a result of years of wear and tear. Barrels offer a lot beautiful material and we try to use as much as possible.
